Seeking DC-based Event Sales Executive with a proven track record of portfolio building in the event production industry.
Are you a natural at building and growing long-lasting client relationships in the events space? We are seeking an Event Sales Executive for a large DC-based event production agency. If you have experience finding new clients through research, networking, and marketing insights in the corporate/association events space, we want to chat with you! NOTE: only candidates with selling corporate event production products/services (not venue) will be considered.
Location:
This is a DC-based position for applicants from the DC-metro area. Only candidates from the DC-metro will be considered. U.S. citizenship or a permanent residency card in the U.S. is required to be an eligible candidate for this opportunity.
Employment:
This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity, offering a flexible work schedule with work-from-home (WFH) options.
Role responsibilities:
- Research, assess growth potential, and build relationships with potential new clients for the live production business.
- Build sales portfolio through individual outreach, networking, cold calls, and marketing leads.
- Work closely with the Production team to respond to RFPs and proposals.
- Lead proposal process and negotiations with clients.
- Represent the team at industry conferences.
- Maintain consistent focus on sales goals.
Skills and experience:
- 3+ years of sales work experience growing a portfolio of business year-on-year.
- Experience selling full-service production experiences is a plus.
- Successful history with event sales resulting in $500K+ per year.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Capable of handling pressure and working on tight timelines.
- Negotiable – base of $85k + commission and comprehensive benefits.
