Job Description
Torchlight is seeking an experienced Internal Communications Project Manager with strong communications, writing, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) experience to join our team. This role is focused on facilitating inclusive and strategic internal initiatives, organizing and communicating with diverse employee groups, and writing reports and briefings.
Location:
Ideally, qualified applicants are located in the DMV or DC metropolitan area. Hybrid work environment.
U.S. citizenship or a permanent residency card in the U.S. is required to be an eligible candidate for this opportunity.
Employment:
This opportunity will be a full-time contract, contract-to-hire, or direct hire opportunity depending on candidate and company needs.
Role responsibilities:
- Prepare concise briefing materials related to enterprise strategies and DEI initiatives.
- Create organized digests of multiple team reports from strategy meetings.
- Manage regular information flow and feedback across the team, encouraging shared decisions and priority setting.
- Design user-friendly intake forms for capturing necessary information.
- Project manage initiatives through the lifecycle, including charter, capacity recommendation, reporting, completion, and after-action review.
Skills and experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management and Internal Communications.
- Strong written communication and detail-oriented skills.
- Expertise with Excel and familiar with PM, Admin., Event, and Marketing Management.
- Familiarity with diverse employee groups or ERGs is highly desired.
- Knowledge and practice of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the private, public, non-profit, or academic sector are preferred.
