Torchlight is seeking a detail-oriented Marketing Operations Coordinator to join a growing marketing agency in the Baltimore / Washington, DC metro area.  

You’ll be responsible for providing marketing and administrative support to ensure client projects are delivered in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. 

Location: Candidates must be located in the Washington D.C. or Baltimore areas for this hybrid work opportunity. 

U.S. citizenship or a permanent residency card in the U.S. is required to be an eligible candidate for this opportunity.  


This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Full-time job 40-hours per week. Flexible hybrid work schedule with work-from-home (WFH) options. Benefits included. 

Role responsibilities: 

  • Work closely with the agency’s Operations Manager to monitor and track creative, digital, and web resources, to ensure projects are assigned based on timelines and/or due date 

  • Act as a central point of project coordination throughout the marketing project lifecycle for key creative and digital stakeholders and select clients 

  • Collaborate with the agency’s Operations Manager to set up projects and processes using a project management software (Wrike)  

  • Support the agency’s client services and accounting teams including, opening jobs using a financial software program (PACE), preparing jobs for the Accounting department for end-of-month billing, and coordinating expense reports 

Skills and experience: 

  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in marketing or project coordination, with a preference for experience in a marketing or creative agency 

  • An Associate’s degree in creative, marketing, communications, business, or a related field 

  • Comfortable learning new technologies or project management software, preferable familiarity with Wrike, Hive, Asana, and/or Pace  

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and support team members efficiently 

  • Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills, 

  • The ability to understand and overcome client concerns and objections 

  • A knack for organizing the details of multiple marketing and administrative projects
