Job Description

TorchLight seeks a Paid Media Specialist (Contract-to-hire) with experience in paid social, paid search, and programmatic campaign setup, management, and optimization to join a DC-based non-profit. This position requires strategic thinking as well as hands-on management of campaigns. Must have technical knowledge of Google Ads, Facebook Ad Manager, LinkedIn Ad Manager, and other paid social platforms. 

Location:

Hybrid, up to 4 days per month onsite in Rockville, MD. Ideal candidates are located in the Washington, D.C. or Baltimore metropolitan areas. 

U.S. citizenship or a permanent residency card in the U.S. is required to be an eligible candidate for this opportunity. 

Employment:  

Contract-to-hire job at 40-hours per week, eligible for a suite of benefits. References and background check required.   

Role responsibilities: 

  • Create and manage paid social, search, and programmatic campaigns to support digital strategy 

  • Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners to help develop project strategy, campaign requirements, timelines, content, and creative 

  • Provide overall support to digital project management, including facilitating the copy and creative approvals processes and assisting with campaign audience segmentation and ad placement selection 

  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure campaigns are consistently in alignment with social messaging and brand guidelines 

  • Help manage campaign budget to ensure digital spend efficiency 

  • Participate in development of campaign reports and present performance and recommendations to client teams 

Skills and experience: 

  • 3+ years' experience working on paid search and paid social campaigns including some experience executing campaigns in Google, Facebook, Microsoft, LinkedIn, and/or Twitter required 

  • Solid decision-making, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills 

  • Strong understanding of the importance of data to drive decision making 

  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics and UTMs a plus 

  • Ability to work effectively across functions and teams while providing exceptional attention to detail with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
