Contract-to-hire opportunity, full-time 40-hours per week. Flexible work schedule with work-from-home (WFH) options.

Develop and implement communications plans and strategy
Plan and execute rapid response media and digital actions
Create various communication tools including talking points, press releases, blogs, media kits, etc.
Develop and execute editorial calendars for web, email, social media, and media pitches
Track relevant news stories to drive engagement opportunities
Manage external relationships to coordinate communications plans and rapid response
Skills and experience:
4+ years of experience in external communications; Issue advocacy or public policy experience preferred
Proven results building and executing communications and public relations strategy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in communications and media management platforms such as Cision, PR Newswire, MailChimp, and WordPress
Network of local and national media connections including reporters and outlets
