Seeking Dynamic Senior Director, Media Strategy & Planning for large global company

Are you a dynamic leader with the ability to drive significant business expansion through marketing and media programs? TorchLight is seeking a results-driven Senior Director, Media Strategy & Planning for a large global company based in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in paid media strategy, implementation, and optimization with a customer-focused, data-driven approach. The Senior Director will lead high-profile agency relationships and a team of talented professionals to ensure customer acquisition programs meet ROI and related performance goals.

Qualified applicants must be located in the Washington, DC or Baltimore metro areas and have U.S. Citizenship or a permanent residency card in the U.S. to be an eligible candidate for this opportunity.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Create effective strategy and oversee execution of multi-channel paid media plan to acquire new customers and grow existing customer revenue while maximizing ROI
  • Expertly plan and optimize budget allocation for paid media channels including TV, OTT, social, paid search and digital
  • Develop and manage flexible media purchasing strategy to ensure TV and OTT channel mix delivers on goals
  • Ensure optimal digital media mix throughout the marketing funnel via targeting and related ad technologies
  • Effectively manage agency partner relationships and ensure performance goals are met
  • Create results-oriented strategy and plan for paid social channels to drive ROI
  • Oversee strategy, implementation, and optimization of paid search programs across search engines to generate ROI-positive customer acquisition
  • Partner with SEO, digital commerce, pricing, and other departments to maximize paid search performance
  • Elevate media measurement efforts to enable top-notch media spend optimization
  • Inform and educate stakeholders and leadership about marketing and media plans and performance
  • Manage team of media/marketing professionals including daily supervision, ongoing employee development and performance reviews
  • Lead continual improvement of marketing/media strategies maximize data, technology and partners and competitive opportunities to deliver maximum results

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing leadership; business to consumer and agency-side experience a plus
  • Demonstrated success leading media/marketing strategy across multiple channels including TV, OTT, digital, social, and paid search
  • Deep knowledge of marketing technologies including DSPs, CMS, analytics/marketing automation, mobile and social platforms
  • Significant experience leading paid search programs
  • Understanding of useability and testing
  • Adept at managing significant ad budgets
  • Expert financial modelling/forecasting/analytical abilities
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
