Julie Rutherford is always up for a challenge, whether launching innovative new marketing programs or moving overseas for a new job in 4 weeks! Julie has spent the bulk of her career in digital marketing and media.
She worked for the interactive divisions of several large publishers including the Paris-based International Herald Tribune, Washington Post Digital and News Corp.
Most recently, she worked in a variety of marketing and customer service positions for a global educational travel company. As TorchLight’s Marketing Director, Julie is able to authentically connect with our clients and candidates using a variety of channels.
Julie currently serves on the board of C4K, a Charlottesville-based non-profit dedicated to providing STEAM educational opportunities to youth in need. Julie has a B.A. in English Literature and French and an M.A. in English, all from the University of Virginia. She currently lives in Charlottesville with her husband, two sons and extremely spoiled Frenchies.
