Seeking PR executive with luxury lifestyle experience across bespoke brands and audiences
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Vice President – Public Relations for an award-winning NYC agency. The successful individual will devise heritage brand public relations strategies, highlighting our luxury lifestyle portfolio. This individual must be strategic and culturally savvy, possess a solid network, and have significant event management and media skills.
Location:
The ideal candidate is based in the NYC Metropolitan area. U.S. citizenship or a permanent residency card in the U.S. is required to be an eligible candidate for this opportunity.
Employment:
This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity, offering a flexible work schedule with work-from-home (WFH) options.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic development of public relations strategies for multiple luxury lifestyle accounts within the food, wine & spirits practice.
- Oversee the development of news-worthy pitches, content and media angles that generate coverage in traditional, digital and social media platforms.
- Maintain strong, positive consumer and trade media relations, cultivating relationships with key journalists and influencers.
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with celebrities and influencers while ensuring successful brand integration.
- Oversee the professional development and mentorship of direct reports, junior staff, and project teams.
- Partner with the President & CEO on the development and execution of new business proposals and ideas.
- Evaluate and report on media measurement efforts, ensuring campaigns meet objectives.
Skills and Experience:
- 10-12+ years of CPG/luxury PR experience is a MUST in an agency or in-house setting.
- Experience coaching, leading, and managing the work of others.
- Proven track record of delivering successful luxury lifestyle public relations campaigns.
- Ability to develop strategic partnerships with talent and influencers.
- Experience working with mainstream media, social media, and national media event coordination.
- The ability to perform at both the strategic and tactical levels.
- Excellent research capabilities with robust analytical skills.
- Excellent public speaking, writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Sophisticated understanding of luxury brands, their audiences, and cultural trends.
- Proficiency in facilitating press events of all sizes, both press and customer.
- Relationships within the entertainment industry (TV/Film/Music/Celebrity – Studios, Agents, Stylists, Set Design, etc.) a plus.
- Strategic thinking abilities, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work in a high-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Adept at business development and account management.
