A dynamic, high-performing marketing agency is hiring a Head of Growth to spearhead client acquisition, strategic partnerships, and long-term revenue expansion. The ideal candidate must be located on the East Coast, and is a marketing pro and entrepreneurial business builder, with deep roots in the marketing and advertising industry. The Head of Growth will play a pivotal role in defining and executing the agency’s growth strategy – leading proactive outreach, cultivating strategic relationships, and collaborating closely with internal teams to craft high-impact proposals and new business wins.

Location:
Remote. Candidates must be based on the East Coast and able to travel periodically for client meetings, conferences, or networking events (up to three times per quarter).
We are considering applicants from major metropolitan areas including but not limited to Washington, DC; Boston; Atlanta; Charlotte; Raleigh; and Philadelphia. Preference given to candidates based in the DC metro area.

This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity, fully remote with travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an integrated new business and growth strategy aligned with agency objectives.
  • Build and nurture a strong pipeline of prospective clients across B2C and B2B sectors.
  • Leverage your existing network and expand it through strategic outreach, events, and partnerships.
  • Lead the proposal and pitch process from concept to close, collaborating with strategy, creative, and media teams.
  • Identify and respond to RFPs, building proposals that reflect client needs and agency expertise.
  • Partner with leadership to forecast revenue, identify growth opportunities, and measure success.
  • Represent the agency at industry conferences, networking events, and panels.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of marketing and agency experience, with a deep understanding of how agencies operate.
  • Proven success in business development or growth leadership roles within a marketing, media, or creative agency.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and close a $1M+ annual new business pipeline.
  • Strong network of senior-level marketing and communications contacts across industries.
  • Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability—comfortable hunting, pitching, and closing.
  • Deep understanding of integrated marketing, digital media, and brand storytelling.
