Job Description
TorchLight seeks an experienced IT Project Manager (Long-term contract) to join our client’s dynamic non-profit environment. The ideal candidate will drive the planning, execution, and delivery of IT initiatives, working closely with IT staff and cross-functional stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to manage multiple projects, facilitate clear documentation, champion adoption of new systems, and contribute to ongoing process enhancements. You will be instrumental in removing project barriers and ensuring all deliverables are on track and aligned with organizational objectives.
Location:
Hybrid in the DC-metro area. Fully onsite for the first month, followed by a hybrid schedule (onsite Mondays and Wednesdays, plus one additional day each week; remote two days per week).
U.S. citizenship or a permanent residency card in the U.S. is required to be an eligible candidate for this opportunity.
Employment:
Long-term contract. Full-time, 40 hours per week. Suite of benefits available.
Rate/Salary Range:
$45 to $50 per hour
Note: Rates and salary ranges are commensurate with experience, certifications, industry knowledge, and technical skills and abilities
Role responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and delivery of multiple concurrent IT projects, adhering to established PMO processes and standards.
- Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, including scope, requirements, timelines, and use cases.
- Collaborate closely with internal IT staff and business stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
- Identify and help resolve project risks and issues, escalating where necessary.
- Facilitate systems integration and adoption, including supporting training documentation.
- Monitor project portfolios and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
- Track progress and report on outcomes to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Skills and experience:
- 2+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager, preferably in a Microsoft (MS365, Teams, SharePoint, Smartsheet) environment.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
- Stellar organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; effective collaborator.
- Experience with project/task management tools (i.e., Asana) is advantageous.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Experience in non-profit or association environments is a plus.
