Job Description
TorchLight seeks a skilled Marketing Communications Manager (Long-term contract) for an immediate opening for one of our clients. In this role, you will support social media content creation and work closely with stakeholders to ensure effective communication strategies. You will also be responsible for various digital communications tasks, including crafting clear and compelling copy for blogs and other meeting collateral while maintaining user experience standards, and managing email campaigns.
Location:
Hybrid (3 days in, 2 days WFH). Ideally, qualified applicants are located in the DC Metro Area.
U.S. citizenship or a permanent residency card in the U.S. is required to be an eligible candidate for this opportunity.
Employment Type:
Contract-to-hire job at 40-hours per week, eligible for a suite of benefits. References and background check required.
Role responsibilities:

Write clear and compelling copy to support various internal and external marketing communication efforts

Create, publish, and curate content across social media platforms

Write, edit and disseminate timely press materials, including news releases, op-eds and letters-to-the-editor

Project manage digital campaign assets from ideation to completion

Oversee the organization’s online strategies, including integration of existing tools to achieve better engagement and development of new media initiatives
Skills and experience:

4+ years of experience writing clear and compelling copy for various digital channels including social, web and email

Ability to work collaboratively with other staff in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

Working knowledge of best practices for website content management and email marketing

Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity

Effective verbal and written communication skills, especially in editing content for a variety of digital channels
