Seeking Marketing Manager for a Member Association
TorchLight Hire is seeking a Marketing Manager to join the growing marketing team of our Arlington, VA-based client. The Marketing Manager will own strategy and execution for a focused portfolio of products, programs, and/or events. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, strategic marketing partner who can make complex offerings compelling, influence senior leaders, and use AI thoughtfully.

Role Responsibilities
- Own the go-to-market plan for a portfolio of products, programs, or events—run planning sessions with program managers, build the strategy, and get sign-off from department leaders
- Turn complex programs into clear value propositions, messaging frameworks, and stories that resonate with co-op leaders and staff
- Run integrated campaigns across email, web, content, and direct mail, and recommend social activations to the organization’s social team
- Stay hands-on: write copy, build emails and forms, and create audience segments
- Track pacing and performance through dashboards, and lead post-program debriefs that give stakeholders insight, not just numbers
- Present plans to senior leaders and steer stakeholders toward the most effective approach, including pushing back when timelines or asks don’t add up
- Contribute to the annual marketing planning cycle and help grow content and thought-leadership marketing
- Use AI thoughtfully to create, edit, and test content and to streamline workflows
Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of marketing experience, ideally in a complex, matrixed organization managing multiple internal stakeholders
- Track record of integrated, multichannel campaigns with measurable results, and the ability to explain what the data means
- Strong email marketing skills, including building campaigns and audience segments
- Confidence presenting to and influencing VP- and SVP-level leaders
- Rigor in managing campaigns through a project management system (e.g., Microsoft Planner, Asana, Monday.com)
- Enthusiasm for using AI in marketing, backed by sharp editorial judgment
- Adaptability and a positive attitude in an environment where systems and processes are evolving
- Product marketing experience, association or mission-driven background, and marketing automation experience (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud) a plus
