Seeking Director of Partnerships for a Leading Global Association
TorchLight Hire is seeking a Director of Partnerships to lead corporate partnership and sponsorship growth for our DC-based client—a prominent global membership association. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic, relationship-driven business development leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make a measurable impact on a growing portfolio of enterprise partnerships.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role. The ideal candidate brings a track record of closing and managing multi-year, six- to seven-figure partnerships, deep experience in value-based selling, and the relationship-building instincts to re-engage an existing partner portfolio while identifying new revenue opportunities.

Washington, D.C. (Hybrid — in-office and remote flexibility; candidates must be local to the Washington, D.C. metro area)

Role Responsibilities
- Build and manage a strategic partnership framework that maximizes both revenue and partner value
- Design and execute a multi-year partnership strategy aligned with organizational revenue goals
- Collaborate with the VP of Business Development to identify and pursue new partnership markets and verticals
- Use competitor tracking and market intelligence to strengthen the organization’s position with current and prospective partners
- Set and achieve annual revenue targets across corporate sponsorship deal flow
- Develop compelling partnership packages with clear ROI metrics for prospective partners
- Oversee renewals and upsell opportunities within the existing partner portfolio
- Ensure accurate pipeline tracking, partner records, and forecasting in the CRM platform
- Oversee contracts, deliverables, and fulfillment across all partnership agreements
Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in partnerships, sponsorships, or business development; experience in a membership or trade association highly pr
- Demonstrated track record of closing and managing multi-year, six- to seven-figure partnerships
- Exceptional C-suite communication, presentation, and networking skills
- Advanced negotiation skills to finalize profitable enterprise agreements
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (like Salesforce or HubSpot)
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $160,000–$185,000 depending on experience
- Annual bonus eligibility
