Meet the Team: Beth Ranzer
Meet TorchLight’s Account Director, Beth Ranzer! Get to know more about Beth – her first few jobs, where she’s from, and what she loves most about working remotely.
Where are you from?
What did you study and how did you get into the recruiting space?
I studied business in undergrad and marketing in grad school. I held marketing roles for almost 15 years before joining TorchLight. Heidi and I worked together when she was at McKinley. I was a candidate looking for a career change and when I saw she started TorchLight, we began discussing if there could be a role for me as an Account Director. The rest is history.
What are some of your previous jobs?
I worked at Nextel (before the merger with Sprint) in advertising and sports marketing and also as a strategic marketing consultant with a small consulting firm based in North Carolina.
What’s your dream travel destination and why?
Australia – I have always wanted to see the Great Barrier Reef.
What’s your favorite thing to do during your free time?
Yoga and running keep me sane and vacationing with my family are at the top of my list.
What’s the best part of working remotely?
I love having ZERO commute and getting online early in the morning before others’ workdays have even begun.
Finally, what do you like most about your job at TorchLight?
I love that no two days are the same. Someone once described recruiting as solving a puzzle every day – which is so true.
