Meet the team: Diana Gardner

Meet the newest addition to our team Diana Gardner! Learn more about our Account Director – where she’s from, her past job experience and her dream travel destination.

Where are you from?
Born and raised in Ft Myers, Florida but have lived in the DC area for 25 years. 

What did you study and how did you get into the recruiting space?
I studied Advertising/PR and have worked in the agency space for two decades. Most recently I decided I wanted to get into recruiting to help pair these same kinds of opportunities with other MarCom professionals. 

What are some of your previous jobs?
I’ve held traditional agency roles in client leadership as well as nontraditional roles in integrated marketing and fundraising for 4 presidential campaigns, 30 senate races, and a host of nonprofits. 

What’s your dream travel destination and why?
As lame as it sounds, Key West, Florida. As a native Floridian, there’s no other place I’d rather be. 

What’s your favorite thing to do during your free time?
Spend time with my family and friends, day dates with my husband, listen to vinyl, and workout. 

What’s the best part of working remotely?
I’ve been working remotely for 15 years – I can’t name just one best thing!

What do you like most about your job at  TorchLight?
Culture, culture, culture! This is a total “practice what you preach” environment that is incredibly intentional, inclusive, respectful, and supportive. As staffing professionals, we have a duty to keep up with and impart best practices on creating a workplace that prioritizes its people. And these people are amazing!!!!
