TorchLight Marketing Contractors Help Launch AARP’s Latest “Staying Sharp” Program

by Susan Mullin

Over the years, TorchLight has placed contractors in a variety of positions at D.C. metro area companies. Our contractors work in digital marketing, marketing operations, customer experience, and membership marketing. These positions have consisted of a variety of rewarding projects for our contractors and employers. Recently, a talented team of TorchLight contractors had the opportunity to work on a project for one of our longstanding partners: AARP.

What is the Staying Sharp program?

AARP continues to focus on bringing fresh, innovative products to their members. As part of this initiative, AARP recently launched a new phase of a brain health program called “Staying Sharp.” AARP’s Vice President & Program lead formally recognized our contractors Leslie H., Martin S., Anne S., and Margaret S.! They received an award for their contributions to the development and launch of this new member benefit.

Leslie describes her experience working on “Staying Sharp” in the video below:

This project offered an excellent opportunity for these contractors to work closely with internal AARP departments. Anne highlights a noteworthy aspect of her experience: “As a contractor, it is a great feeling to be able to work alongside the team to make an impact and contribution to this important and monumental initiative.”

What role did TorchLight play?

TorchLight contractors worked side by side with AARP teams to develop a personalized email welcome stream for members. “Everyone was very open and willing to help me and we worked together to solve issues,” Margaret comments.

Martin appreciates the combined groups’ hard work and commitment to the project. They say, “I am grateful to the teams across the organization who worked together to ensure the successful launch of “Staying Sharp.”

Projects like AARP‘s “Staying Sharp” allow contractors to work for world-class brands, expand their skills and experience, and contribute to truly valuable efforts. Leslie comments, “From day one, I have felt like an integral member of the AARP Experience team and I have gotten the chance to contribute to very interesting and strategically important projects such as “Staying Sharp.“ I am very grateful for this opportunity that allows me to grow professionally.”

Thanks, team!

Along with AARP, we would like to congratulate Martin, Anne, Leslie, and Margaret for a job well done. We are so excited that they were able to work on such an important project. Thank you for your hard work and dedication!
