During this season of gratitude, the TorchLight Team has a lot to be thankful for—family, friends, fulfilling work with great clients and candidates, and so much more. Read on to learn what each of us is grateful for this year and beyond.
Heidi Parsont – TorchLight CEO and Founder
I’m thankful for the opportunity to live abroad with my family for a year while having an amazing team in place to run the day to day workings at TorchLight. I’m so lucky to have a team that respects and enjoys each other every day.
I’m also thankful for the opportunity to have some ‘me’ time which is not something I am used to. I have more quality time with my children and husband and the chance to become friends with people of all nationalities. I am thankful for the opportunity to explore the world around us and learn what it has to offer. Many lessons learned so far in 2019 with many more to come in the future!
Julie Lowe – Chief Culture Officer
This Thanksgiving, I’m grateful for many things related to family, friends and good health. This year, I am particularly thankful for celebrating my Mom who turns 90 on December 28th. I love her dearly and while we live so far from each other, hearing her voice on the phone and seeing her on our visits brings such love and joy to my life.
Jen Todd – Senior Manager, Client Services
I am most thankful for her husband and sons. Their laughter and love fill my soul every day.
Heather Pederson – Director of Recruiting Operations and Engagement
For my husband – whose steadfast love, quirky sense of humor, and constant mediation keep our family together. For my daughter – whose unfathomable wisdom, brilliance, and empathy remind me daily why I was meant to be her mother.
Amy Tsuchitani – Account Director
I am thankful to work with an incredible group of women that support each other every day. I am also grateful to personally support amazing clients and candidates that encompass many great qualities – kindness, compassion, intelligence, and professionalism.
Samantha Nguyen – Marketing/Client Services Project Manager
I am thankful for my husband, our new home, and sweet pup Reddington. We are grateful to now have 1 big family, good health, love, and laughter!
Kathryn Bailey – Recruiting Manager
I am thankful to have learned the lesson that, “happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have”. With that understanding, I am content and so VERY grateful for the many blessings in my life, including my family, career and health.
Katie Hart – Account Manager
I am thankful that my husband and I will be able to spend Thanksgiving with both of our extended families. Though we are pretty full and tired after the 3 Thanksgiving meals we participate in (yes, you read that right!), we are extremely grateful to spend time with the people we love.
Stephanie Ranno – Director, Enterprise Business Development
I am thankful for the gift of remote work. Two years into working for a fully remote company, and I can honestly say that the remote work has had a tremendous impact on the quality of my life. I am able to be more fully present as an employee, mom, wife, and friend. I’m healthier physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. And I’m encouraged to find time and opportunities to explore my passion of increasing awareness of neurodiversity in the workplace. Remote work allows me to live out a truly integrated life – and I’m so grateful for it.
Julie Rutherford – Marketing Director
I’m grateful for family and good health. I’m so thankful to have an extremely close family. Not only my husband and two boys, but also my parents, sisters, in-laws, niece and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and 98-year old grandmother. And health – pretty much every one of them (including grandma!) is in good health which is such a blessing.
Autumn Schiff – Recruiting Manager
I am grateful for time and especially the time I got to spend with my family making memories. We had a really fun year! 🙂
