Seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Sponsorship and Events Coordinator for a DC-based association

This individual will manage all aspects of the organization's sponsorship program and trade shows, including pre-planning, promotion, contract negotiation, logistics, and post-event evaluation. Location
Hybrid in Washington, DC with flexible work-from-home (WFH) options. DC-metro area candidates will only be considered.
Employment
Direct Hire opportunity; full-time. U.S. citizenship or a permanent residency card in the U.S. is required to be an eligible candidate for this opportunity.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage the organization’s sponsorship program, including planning, promotion, contract negotiation, tracking, administration, logistics, and execution
- Oversee all aspects of the organization’s two trade shows, including promotion, sales, logistics, and post-event analysis
- Develop and maintain relationships with sponsors and exhibitors; evaluate sponsorship and exhibitor satisfaction
- Research and recruit new sponsors, exhibitors, and advertising partners to support the organization’s conferences
- Develop the annual sponsorship prospectus
- Contribute to the creation of sponsorship, trade show, and advertising annual targets and budgets
- Track and monitor trade show and sponsor expenses
- Serve as the liaison with trade show servicers, reviewing contracts and orders, handling logistics, and ensuring smooth operations
- Research and assist with planning and executing sponsored events and conference collateral
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications and Meetings teams
Skills and Experience
- 2-3 years of customer service experience in a corporate or association setting; experience with sponsorships/exhibitors preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Impeccable attention to detail and follow-through
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable using client relationship and association management databases
