TorchLight Seeking: Experienced Director of Sales with a Proven Record in Market Expansion and Sales Team Leadership
TorchLight Hire is looking for a visionary and dynamic Director of Sales. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving national sales growth and expanding the market presence for our client, located in Christiansburg, VA. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a strong customer focus and has a proven record in building and guiding successful sales teams. This role requires a hands-on approach with on-going travel to customer sites.
Location:
Ideally qualified applicants are located in the areas adjacent to the client’s HQ in Christiansburg, VA. Significant remote or work-from-home (WFH) options are available. However, regular travel is required, including trips to the company’s headquarters and customer site visits for sales development and relationship management.
U.S citizenship or a permanent residency card in the U.S. is required to be an eligible candidate for this opportunity.
Employment:
This role is a full-time, direct hire opportunity with a 40-hour work week and flexible work schedule.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive national sales strategy
- Conduct thorough market analysis, identify growth opportunities, and adjust strategies accordingly
- Effectively lead a remote sales team
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with high-ranking executives
- Oversee the financial aspects of the sales department
- Continuously evaluate and refine sales processes
- Travel regularly for customer site visits and meetings
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Retail, or a related field
- 5+ years in sales leadership management, preferably within the food safety, food retail, or big box store industry
- Experience managing teams of 6+ outside sales representatives
- Strong understanding of high-end technology relevant to the industry
- Proficient in relevant CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and IT literacy
- Proven record in managing and expanding national accounts and achieving $20 million revenue targets
