TorchLight seeks a dedicated Social Media Specialist (Contract-to-hire) for a leading education brand in the DC-metro area. In this role, you’ll need sharp strategic skills to execute compelling social content while keeping an eye on impact and results. The ideal candidate is creatively driven, possesses a keen interest for social media, and has a knack for developing engaging content while fostering online community development.
Location:
Fully remote. Ideally, applicants are located in the DMV or DC metropolitan area with availability to come into the office once a month.
U.S. citizenship or a permanent residency card in the U.S. is required to be an eligible candidate for this opportunity.
Employment:
Contract-to-hire opportunity. Full-time, 40 hours per week. Suite of benefits available. Background and reference check required.
Rate/Salary Range:
$33 to $37 per hour
Note: Rates and salary ranges are commensurate with experience, certifications, industry knowledge, and technical skills and abilities
Role Responsibilities:
- 2+ years of experience in marketing with a preference in social media subject matter expertise
- Develop unique content strategy for active social media channels that aligns with and implements the overarching social strategy
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to curate the content calendar, considering wider marketing and partnership initiatives
- Support the execution of monthly content calendar and ad-hoc social media content needs to enhance brand visibility
- Listen, manage, and develop appropriate responses to online conversations relevant to the brand
- Compile performance data and insights to drive increased performance and optimization of social media content
Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok
- Demonstrate good communication skills and able to problem solve and partner across the organization
- Display autonomy, independent judgement, and decision making
- Possess strong organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple projects based on business needs
